Chachi, Joanie, and Jenny are at a table at Arnold's. Joanie is talking to Jennywhile Chachi is ignoring her and looking at a book and looking at other girls. Joanieleaves to go outside. Jenny says Sandy Wondraman is going steady - Arnie Finstergave her his i.d. bracelet. Chachi and Joanie had been going out for twice as longas them and Joanie is upset. Jenny tells Chachi the program and then leaves. Joanie and Jennydo their toenails back at the Cunningham house. Jenny tells Joanie the good news. Chachicomes to the door and asks Jenny to leave so he can be alone with Joanie. Chachi talksabout their relationship. Chachi tells her he wants to date other girls and says Joaniecan date other guys. Joanie tries to hide her emotions and becomes upset when he leaves. Joanietells Mr. and Mrs. C. that she and Chachi have been together for 2 years. Marion remindsher of the college boy that has been calling her. Back at Arnold's, Chachi throws darts andAl tells him about his phone messages. Chachi tells Al he made a terrible mistake breakingup with Joanie. Al asks Roger to talk to Chachi. Roger picks up some soda from Al. Fonzietells Chachi to go make up with Joanie. Al tells Chachi about a woman he let slip throughhis fingers, and Chachi runs out when Al asks him if he wantsto end up like him. William, Joanie's date, arrives at the Cunningham house. Williamand Howard exchange small talk. Chachi meets William Farnsworth. Joanie comes downin a nice, red dress. Joanie and William are going to Chez Antoine. Joanieand William leave. Fonzie and Howard talk to Chachi. Fonzie suggests Chachi go down tothe restaurant and Chachi asks Fonzie to go with him. Joanie and Bill talk tothe maitre 'd. The maitre 'd gives Chachi and Fonzie ties to wear. Chachi showsFonzie the menu and they realize there are all boy/girl couples there at therestaurant. Fonzie's girl (Andrea) asks Fonzie what he is doing there. Joanie spotsFonzie and then sees Chachi hiding under the table. Joanie thinks Chachi reallydoes care after he goes through all the trouble to spy on her. Max plays theviolin for them and then leaves with Fonzie. Chachi gives Joanie his i.d. braceletand then they kiss.
